A never-ending conversation with Jeroen De Wandel

With STRATA, artists Jeroen De Wandel & Ann-Sophie Deproost explore the boundaries of each other's oeuvre. They do this by bringing images into dialogue with each other, thereby investigating the temporal and material layers of images.

Through exhibitions and interventions in the exhibition space, they keep the dialogue going: works disappear from the wall, appear on it, are twisted, concealed, or revealed. These interventions reflect, on the one hand, the process that the artists carry out in their studio and, on the other hand, their joint search for the border area between their visual languages.

Een continue dialoog met Jeroen De Wandel.

Met STRATA verkennen kunstenaars Jeroen De Wandel & Ann-Sophie Deproost de grenzen van elkaars oeuvre. Dat doen ze door beelden met elkaar in dialoog te brengen en zo de temporele en materiële gelaagdheid van beelden te onderzoeken.

Via tentoonstellingen en ingrepen in die tentoonstellingsruimte houden ze de dialoog gaande: werken verdwijnen van de muur, verschijnen erop, worden verdraaid, verhuld of juist onthuld. Deze ingrepen weerspiegelen enerzijds het proces die de kunstenaars in hun atelier voeren, en anderzijds hun gezamenlijke zoektocht naar het grensgebied tussen hun beeldtalen.
